We got to know Breann & Kody last year when we shot their engagement session in New Orleans. I knew that their wedding day was going to be such a joy to photograph as soon as we met.
They were married on Saturday, and even though it was brutally hot, everything was perfect. The entire day was smooth and free of stress, and I attribute that to how intentional Breanne was with laying out her timeline.
They chose to do a first look, so we not only finished every single family portrait before the ceremony even began, but we had TWO different opportunities for portraits of just the two of them together. That’s what my photographer dreams are made of! They braved the heat- almost a hundred degrees to be exact- and were happy to oblige me because they knew how important these photos were.
We felt so appreciated throughout the whole day. When Breann’s mom chased us down as we were leaving to hug me and say thank you, I was reminded of why this job is so rewarding and special. I never take for granted how blessed we are to be able to serve our clients on their wedding day in a small way. God is so good to allow us that privilege. The repetitive nightmares of me shooting weddings with no clothes on (apparently my subconscious really fears this happening. Embarrassing I know 😛 ) are totally worth it when I get clients like these two. 😉
They’re living the honeymoon life and exploring the west coast as we speak, and I am just so excited to share these images with you! Breann & Kody, you guys and your families are such a blessing to us. Thank you for trusting us to photograph your day.
