Emma & Eric’s Silver Lake Ballroom Wedding

Two weddings in two states back to back wasn’t easy, but I am so glad we did it! We drove to Shreveport from Texas to shoot Emma & Eric’s wedding last weekend, and it was such a good day!

We met Emma last year when she chose us to shoot her wedding, and we got to meet Eric the day of their wedding. Their ceremony was at the beautiful Brown Chapel at Centenary College, and their reception was at the Silver Lake Ballroom. Both venues are two of our favorites, and the natural light in both make shooting there so much fun (and easy!)

I love summer weddings because even if the bride and groom don’t do a first look there’s still plenty of time for portraits after the ceremony!

Emma and Eric we are so glad you chose us to be your photographers. You guys were such a joy to work with. Enjoy some of my favorites!

I have to share the email we got from the father of the bride after he saw their blog post. I had to read it through tears! I love this job.

Rachel,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know you more than exceeded my high expectations for photography. I get so many portfolios from people who think they are ‘photographers’ but are really just people with a camera :). I am truly impressed and extremely pleased with what I have seen from Emma’s wedding. Your composition, use of natural lighting, ability to capture every moment (expected and unexpected) and final framing and post-work on Emma and Eric’s photos are top-notch – well done! And the biggest factor, you both were so easy to work with – thank you for that! I’m am so pleased and, yes, they brought a tear to my eye. I will definitely recommend you anytime I hear of anyone that’s planning a wedding. -Father of the Bride
